Main duties and tasks of the Role 

The main duties and tasks of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement actions that promote health and wellbeing across SEforALL, focusing on providing a positive and rewarding workplace experience, including developing and rolling out the SEforALL Employee Assistance Programme and handling staff queries on wellness-related matters.

  • Manage employee engagement surveys, collecting employee sentiment data and other employee experience data using various approaches, including focus groups; collate and analyze response data, present findings and design and implement activities to address findings.

  • Assist the Senior Specialist, Human Resources and Director, Human Resources in preparing people metrics for reporting. Use advanced predictive analytics to provide meaningful information to guide continual improvement and increase employee wellbeing, engagement, satisfaction and retention.

  • Partner with the Talent Management and Acquisition team, Programme Managers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and consistent onboarding experience for new hires. Including streamlining and facilitating an organization wide new employee induction programme for new hires. In addition, support the offboarding of exiting employees.

  • Assist in developing and implementing robust wellbeing and engagement initiatives and policies aligned to the organization’s strategic direction.

  • Create and manage recognition programs.

  • Organize staff engagement events in collaboration with relevant teams – e.g. All Staff Retreats and All Staff Meetings.

  • Draft and compile HR related engagement and wellbeing information for dissemination to staff through appropriate channels.

  • Support the Communication team with employee engagement and wellbeing content, e.g. the SEforALL Newsletter.

  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle for allocated positions.

  • Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing in own work area to bring about awareness and understanding, as well as utilize SEforALL systems and processes to share the knowledge. e.g. Salesforce.

  • Undertake other tasks and duties as may be required.

Specific Competencies for the Role 

  • A first or higher-level university degree in human resources management, business or public administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a general and/or specific field in Human Resources with a focus on employee experience, wellbeing and engagement.

  • Experience in developing and delivering internal communications plans and strategies with a broad knowledge of the philosophy and objectives of employee engagement theories and practices is required.

  • Significant knowledge of best international human resources management practices in the private sector, international organizations or NGOs, and/or the UN Common System is desirable.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a good understanding of HR Analytics and the ability to present results supporting decision-making.

  • High levels of confidentiality, and good judgment, discretion and tact in handling sensitive issues and materials.

  • Proactive approach to managing workflow, with a keen ability to multi-task and respond quickly and flexibly to various issues.

  • Must be an advocate for fairness and consistency in the application of Human Resources policies and procedures.

  • Understanding of change management and the resistance that may be associated with it.

  • Must be able to interact with and build relationships internally and externally.

  • Hands-on, and willing to work with tasks of any size.

  • Strong written and spoken English language skills. Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
