The Graphic Designer will provide creative design and layout services of communications materials including printed and digital products, as well as animated graphics. The Graphic Designer will produce products based on the content and guidance provided by External Communication team for each project, ensuring effective conveyance of the textual content to target audiences while in full compliance with UNICEF’s branding and style guidelines.

 

Duties will entail regular monitoring, follow-up and supervision of the below mentioned tasks.

Expected Outputs

  1. Work with the External Communication team to establish a unified brand understanding for UNICEF’s communication products.
  1. Conceptualize multimedia campaigns visual vision, harnessing original graphics, visual website content, social media, and other communication materials.
  2. Publications and reports
  3. Aligning with the UNICEF visual brand and External Communication team, by following the visual brand strategy and guidelines.
  4. Infographic motion graphics videos

  1. Visual communication products delivered in an innovative direction, which includes designing and branding of print visibility materials such as posters, rollups, banners, flyers, coloring books, notebooks, folders, cut-outs and toolkits.
  2. Graphic and visual concepts are presented, based on ideas established in campaigns brainstorming sessions with the Communication team.
  1. Creative design solutions are delivered for reports, fundraising documents, and other office publications requested by other sections and donors.
  2. Obtain External Communication team approval by presenting final layouts and illustrations, to provide feedback, and responding to internal commentary and requests.
  3. Create a wide variety of motion graphics videos, including infographics and animated graphics for use across multiple platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and more.

Proposed Payment Schedule :

Monthly basis, upon delivery of monthly report including a log of major activities and progress, achievements, constraints and recommendations.

  • Expert knowledge in graphic design and art direction ;
  • Proficiency with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite ;
  • Strong creative vision, with an exceptional capability with typography, layout, infographics and animation design ;
  • Strong comprehension of work standards and practices of UN and other International Government/Humanitarian Organizations ;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Art, Graphic Design, or related fields.

 

Conditions of work :

 

Work will be undertaken from home, and an iMac will be available to use at UNICEF’s office whenever needed.

-Fee for services to be provided based on the deliverables in the Terms of Reference.
