Responsibilities :

  • Ensure that data is available and is aggregated/disaggregated as necessary for interpretation and analysis ;
  • Support the SI Data Analytics & Outcomes Manager in interpreting and analyzing data using statistical techniques, provide ;
  • ongoing reports and create slides on performance trends as part of informing CDS Technical and Program teams’ ;
  • interventions improvement ;
  • Prepare accurately and timely, all routine data reports of DREAMS Program monthly and quarterly basis ;
  • Routinely review collected data and identify, escalate and resolve data errors ;
  • Perform basic and complex data analyses using appropriate software for project external reports and internal data review meetings ;
  • Monitor programme trends and assist with use of data in the DREAMS Program ;
  • Perform any other duties as requested and support SI Data Analytics & Outcomes Manager and the MER team in fulfilling ;
  • its mandate for efficient admin and procurement processes ;
  • Additional duties as required and assigned.

Requirements :

  • Tertiary level degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics or equivalent experience ;
  • Two years’ experience applying epidemiological concepts to public health-related data analysis. Experience in DREAMS programs desired ;
  • Thorough understanding of health information management, including understanding of data production as well as data quality improvement strategies ;
  • Strong analytic skills and technical proficiency with MSOffice Suite. Demonstrated experience with a statistical package and/or programming skill (R, STATA, Python, SQL) ;
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools ;
  • Knowledge of relational databases desired ;
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques ;
  • Knowledge of spatial (GIS) reporting, desirable ;
  • Knowledge of data quality management practices ;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral English) ;
  • Attention to detail, strong commitment to excellence ;
  • Fast learner Analytical and critical thinking ;
  • Results-oriented, able to multi-task and to work at a rapid pace ;
  • Strong organizational skills self-directed, able to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively ;
