The “Junior Engineering Analyst” position in few figures…
Your role consists in :
- supporting the Managing Director/Head of Country for Total’s solar business in Qatar. The expected duties will include technical, business and administrative functions.
- supporting the production of technical analyses for renewable energy projects. Analyses include energy yield assessments, basic economic assessments, forecasts, etc.
- performing preliminary work to support upcoming projects.
- May be asked to interface with contract management teams.
- supporting the assembly of market analyses and track and coordinate interfaces with key stakeholder offices within Qatar.
- provide administrative assistance from time to time. Assistance includes follow up on invoices, creation of weekly/monthly reports, assembly of presentations, etc.
- Be effective in responding to correspondence from various counter parties and ensures the interests of the Company are protected.
- Assisting in the establishment of procedures for the management of Total’s solar business in Qatar.
- Experience with renewable energy or power generation projects is preferred, but not required.
Contexte et Environnement
Total has been awarded a Project Management contract to support Qatar Petroleum in the deployment of PV plants to feed their Industrial Cities by renewable electricity (800 MW of PV), in two locations.

What is the profile of our ideal candidate?
You do have minimum 5 years working experience with Power, Energy, or Oil & Gas industry in a technical or business management role ?
A degree in engineering (renewable, electrical or other) or related field?
In this case, the role should suit you.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they have the following capabilities:
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- Capable of developing MS excel spreadsheets to produce technical analyses, forecasting trends, and analyzing large sets of data from multiple sources.
- Capable of interfacing with both technical and non-technical business representatives from different companies.
- Presents themselves in professional manner and properly represents the values of Total.
- Team player, who is able to work independently and duly manage their workload and priorities.
