Description :

Under the line management of the Regional Logistics Manager, the Logistics Manager will be part of the coordination team and will have to provide support to 4 hubs (Tripoli, Misurata, Benghazi, Tunis). The Logistics Manager will have to be extremely proactive, mobile and flexible, to set-up efficient relationships with each hub, ensure good coordination and develop adequate framework;

He/she will be responsible for the implementation of logistics procedures on each hub and will have to optimize the supply chain, the general means and the coordination between the hubs;

As such he/she will work in close coordination with each hub through each logistics departments and will have to travel on the field to provide support. If HI launches a direct management program in a newly-accessible area, the Logistics Manager will play a major role in setting up the logistic services and premises in the field;

The Logistics Manager will also be the main interlocutor for Regional Office (based in Tunis – Tunisia) for all questions related to logistics and purchases. According to the position, the Logistics Manager must keep all the data confidential, and share it only with the relevant persons.

Profile sought :

Qualification:

  • University Degree in Relevant Field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in at least 5 years of the following sectors: procurement / supplies, management / rehabilitation of premises, fleet management, and/or information and communication systems;
  • 5 years’ experience in coordination positions;
  • Proven training and local capacity building experience;
  • Experience of operational partnership management and/or remote management would be an asset;
  • Previous experience with Handicap International would be an asset;
  • Previous experience in the Middle East or Maghreb is an asset.

Skills:

  • Fluency in oral and written English is compulsory, Arabic is an asset;
  • Good IT skills.

  • 3 months’ International contract starting from 1st, October 2021.

o Pension scheme adapted to the situation of our employees: If you already have a personal pension scheme HI will contribute at the same level of your personal monthly contribution with a maximum of 272.53€/month; If you do not have a personal pension scheme, we will open a private pension account with your contribution of 272.53€/month and a contribution of HI of the same amount

o Medical coverage – with 50% of employee contribution to the subscription

o Repatriation insurance paid by HI

  • Salary from 2800 € gross/month upon experience;
  • Perdiem: 693 € net/month – paid in the field;
  • Hardship: 500 € net/month paid with your salary;
  • Paid leaves: 25 days per year;
  • R&R: 5 days every 6 weeks spent in Libya;
  • Position: unaccompanied;
  • Housing: collective taken in charge by HI.
