OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

This consultancy’s main objective is to support the Antioquia Regional Senior Associate in finalizing the PHASE II program of Norway defined with the Antioquia Government and key stakeholders in the region.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED

The description of expertise required may be split into the following parts.

Required:

    • (MANDATORY)Must be able to work and reside in Colombia.
    • (MANDATORY) Live in Antioquia, with the option to attend meetings and workshops in Medellín
    • (MANDATORY) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, administration, or economics fields.
    • (MANDATORY) At least 3 years of professional experience preferably in areas related to GGGI’s purposes (environmental sustainability, Forest Economy, Nature Tourism, Sustainable livestock, green businesses, PES Payment for Ecosystem Services)
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; capacity for synthesis, presentation, and communication; strategic thinking skills.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
    • Excellent written and report preparation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • Organized with excellent prioritization and attention to detail skills is required.
    • Strong and matured interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with multi-cultural teams.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to tasks given.
    • Excellent writing and reporting skills, ability to organize ideas, structure texts, and presentations
    • Excellent Spanish skills are essential. Good command of English is desirable.

Desired:

    • Experience/knowledge of green growth and sustainable development.
    • An advanced degree in Environmental Economics / Environmental Management / Sustainable Development of other relevant fields.
    • Previous work experience with the GoC, international organizations, development partners, and high-level authorities.
