The program of Enteric and Respiratory Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division conduct research for multiple projects. These studies will be conducted in the urban slum areas of Mirpur. Household transmission study of Cryptospordium infection, Transmission dynamics of Campylobacter and Shigella study, Phase II Dengue vaccine trial and Neuro-imaging study are being conducted there in collaboration with scientists from abroad. These projects require Research Assistants with specific skills and knowledge to perform the test and collection of good quality of data.
Position Description:
The Research Assistant reporting to the Project Coordinator will be mainly responsible for performing following duties and responsibilities:
- Perform morbidity serveillence of enrolled participants;
- Collect biological and enverionmental samples from household;
- Perform Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC) of collected data and upload in the server;
- Perform anthropometric/Neuro assessments procedure (EEG, fNIRS, MRI/ video surveillance/CANTAB, LENA;
- Perform tab based data entry using ODK system;
- Enroll perticipants;
- Supervise and monitor the activities of surveillance worker;
- Provide logistic/administrative support to the team members.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor degree in any discipline;
- 3 years of relevent experience;
- Experience in video surveillance, coding and Neuro assessments procedure will be given preference.
