Job Description

  • Develop, expand and streamline operational practices ,
  • Liaising with stakeholders on various assignment correspondences; including expat handbook/policies and immigration issues ,
  • Work with Global Mobility advisory group in developing our approach, resolve issues, streamline processes, and implementation ,
  • Develop/update handbook/policies and processes ,
  • Provide specialist guidance to stakeholders to ensure assignee s transfer were manage in an effective way ;
  • Make decision based on the assessment of each situation and advise the best approach.
  • Work closely with various departments to resolve any issues on contracts, tender, policies, discrepancy, etc.
  • Regular meet up and review with stakeholders on expat issues and provide solution, improvement plan.
  • Yearly review of expat handbook.
  • Manage tender process with various stakeholders and procurement team.
  • Working in close co-ordination with external vendors and be the point of contact to align and communicate the same process and approach with the various vendors.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely filing of income tax.
  • Managing and maintaining all report with accuracy and updated information
  • Prepare and deliver presentation to stakeholders
  • Administer all stages of the expatriate management cycle, including on boarding & departure procedure.
  • Process the appropriate passes before the arrival of the staff and their family and ensure that the renewal, or the termination of passes are done on the given time frame by MOM.
  • Liaise and manage relationship with service providers, realtors, schools and/or third party suppliers
  • Source temporary accommodation for expatriate and their family; coordinate with assistants for flight bookings
  • Assist and update various reporting, rebilling and retrieve of data and ensure accuracy of information.
  • Work closely with tax advisor to ensure expatriate personal income tax/exit clearance tax filing are accurate and done on the given time frame.
  • Update knowledge of Singapore laws to ensure adherence to such regulations (eg. foreign labour law, tax regulations, lease management, driving licenses requirement etc.) and share with stakeholders and mobility team.
  • Proactively identify gaps in the existing expatriate management processes, propose and implement changes necessary to establish good HR practices
  • Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties
  • Provide support such as launching company activities, events assigned from time to time.
  • Work closely with mobility team and stakeholders Steerco, expatriate, branch head, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Developers (TDs)

Candidate profile

  • Qualified to Degree level.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in full scope of Mobility and/or Expat management, ideally from in-house ;
  • Highly organized, excellent planning, coordination and strong project management skills ;
  • Strong understanding in Singapore taxation rules for foreigner working in Singapore ;
  • Strong numeracy and spreadsheet skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts ;
  • Process strong written, communication and presentation skills ;
  • Meticulous and possess positive work attitude with capability to manage multiple task and resolve issues ;
  • Knowledge of Singapore tax rules ;
  • Conversant with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Microsoft TEAMS, etc ;
  • Strong internal customer service focus and customer relationship management skills.
