YOUR ROLE

Your role will be to:

  • Collect and analyse systems changes, assess the impact on the concept of operations and act as focal a point during the validation/testing/implementation phase.
  • Validate proposed changes against the requirements and defined standards; and identify and address any issues or non-conformances.
  • Assess the changes and identify the most relevant validation process to use, and report on the operational acceptability of those changes.
  • Coordinate implementation of changes with end users and ensure integration into ways of working/processes.
  • Develop, plan, and implement validation protocols for new and existing systems and processes in cooperation with relevant subject matters experts and end-users.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate validation activities by ensuring resources are available, preparing content for validation, and by coordinating with various internal and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to validation and implementation activities and ensure that updates are available and published.
  • Report on progress, issues, and priority conflicts impacting the operations environment and propose technical procedural solutions.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating operational occurrences, particularly after new system implementation.
  • Contribute to relevant working groups and projects, follow up on agreed actions, etc.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.). A relevant Bachelor’s degree would be an asset.
  • Internal candidates should check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience.
  • Experience in managing system changes and associated processes.
  • Knowledge of applying validation methods/approaches
  • Knowledge of ATC (Air Traffic Control) operations would be an asset.
  • Technical writing skills (English).

  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1.
    The levels relate to the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).
