The European Science-Media Hub (ESMH) invites applicants to become one of the 80 young journalists aged between 18 and 30, to attend the summer school “Storytelling in science” (6-8 June) and this year’s European Youth Event (EYE2023, 9-10 June) in Strasbourg (France). The application is open to young media makers who are citizens of the EU Member States.

The event

As a side-event of EYE2023 in Strasbourg, the ESMH summer school will host workshops and panel discussions with professional journalists, international experts, Members of the European Parliament and other high-ranking guests. The summer school will also give the opportunity to exchange with other journalists from all over Europe on science journalism, digital communication, climate change and more.

COSTS: If you are accepted to join the event, you will receive a fee to help cover your travel and lodging costs for the length of the event (certain conditions apply).

Profile

  • 18-30 years old
  • Citizen of an EU Member State
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • A passion for science communication
  • Experience in journalism is a bonus
