Conseil Norvégien pour les Réfugiés (NRC) recherche un Conseiller en subventions (H/F), Afghanistan.

 

 

 

 

What You Will Do :

  • Grants Management (overview and maintenance of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, and internal and external deadlines; development of donor applications and reports, ensuring donor compliance and quality control; development and revision of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports; continuously improve internal grant management systems; provide an internal help-desk on donor related issues; Provide suitable advice on donor’s guidelines; and contribute to project/grants cycle management procedures and usage of the project/grants cycle management framework).
  • Funding Identification & Proposal Development (organise proposal planning meetings; dissemination of information; build relationships to coordinate and support the development of proposals; and compile proposal budgets).
  • Due Diligence Assessments (support the due diligence assessment; ensure the organisation is up to date with donor’s assessments; and ensure that the organisation’s risk ratings are aligned as per current programming and policies).
  • Grant Agreements (develop budgeting tools; communication on allocated budget; summarise key reporting and compliance requirements; ensure budgets are correctly allocated and aligned; and ensure Grant Opening Meetings take place in timely manner and that all internal documents are in place).
  • Donor Reporting, Monitoring, & Review (development and review of donor and partner reports, ensuring consistency between narrative and financial reports and that they meet quality standards; highlight critical financial issues to Managers and budget holders; monitor grant payment schedules and income requests; and support the development of country factsheets and other relevant information for donor visits/meetings).
  • Donor Compliance (familiarity with organisational and donor portfolio compliance requirements; and ensure high quality management of grants through meeting of indicators and deadlines; support and advise programme colleagues with queries related to donor compliance; ensure all documentation is ready and available for audits; support openings and close out of grants; and assist in training and capacity building of field staff).
  • General Administration (maintaining a high standard of information management/filing systems; representation and attendance at meetings; area and/or field office visits; and ensure correct maintenance of an up-to-date grants funding tracker and online database).

What You Will Bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Grants management experience in a humanitarian early recovery/emergency context;
  • Donor relations experience (with institutional humanitarian and development donors);
  • Donor rules and regulations understanding;
  • Proposal and report writing expertise;
  • English fluency, both written and verbal;
  • Local language fluency (both Pashto and Dari).
