About the role:

The objective of the Automation Specialist role is to liaise with the business to identify opportunities for automation across a range of toolsets. It is to maintain a consolidated automation pipeline, and to lead/coordinate/manage solutions from ideation to delivery with ongoing maintenance and support. It is to maintain and enhance a governance framework as the internal program scales.

To succeed, you will be flexible in your approach, be able to prioritise and handle the dynamic changes of the industry, build sustainable business and internal IT relationships, and place the customer at the centre of all decision making.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintain a consolidated pipeline of automation opportunities with data-driven prioritisation and early determination of economic feasibility
  • Assist in definition of project success criteria and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and desired quality
  • Facilitate legal, privacy, architecture and security overview of use cases
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of solutions through appropriate tools to realise benefits
  • Prepare and present analysis, methods and results to non-expert personnel, management team and technical experts throughout different projects
  • Oversee solution design and development ensuring internal policy and regulatory compliance
  • Leverage relationships with vendors, airlines, loyalty programs, vendors’ customers, and internal teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies for current and future automations
  • Control the quality of deliverables from the wider team through each stage of the development lifecycle by implementing control gates
  • Define, promote and utilise best practices, particularly for RPA, serving as a blueprint for other streams where possible; serve as a subject matter expert to others seeking to utilise technologies to automate and streamline existing manual business processes

 

About you:

  • Experience with RPA technologies
  • Experience in stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing to deliver on project objectives
  • Experience in Agile concepts and tools
  • Exposure to digital transformation
  • Experience in proactive risk assessment and management in project delivery
  • Experience working with prioritisation pipelines
  • Experience with other automation technologies, API, Sabre IX, Workflow tools, chatbot technologies
  • Experience with business partnering.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking with problem solving aptitudes
  • Problem solving in a complex Business Systems environment
