The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the African Agri-Business Engine, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for a Consultancy services for Design and establishment of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM), client activation and account management structure with agribusinesses in 5 countries (Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania) in Potatoes, Rice, Soybeans, Horticulture and Sunflower value chains, respectively.

The services included under this consultancy are described below :

  1. Establish in East and Southern Africa a “client relationship” network with a minimum of 50 anchor companies and agriculture SMEs, who will be strategic partners and clients for the Grow Africa and the African Development Bank ;
  2. Convene local stakeholders, partners and governments with well-outlined instruments i.e. webinars, business networks, etc. ;
  3. Establish and manage clients’ accounts.

The assignment will be undertaken in the following five countries: Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda and Tanzania, and will span over 10 months, with an estimated workload of 80 Full-time equivalent person-days. The estimated starting date is May 1, 2021.

The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework for Bank Group-funded Operations, October 2015 edition.which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
