The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : SENIOR SHAREPOINT CONSULTANT ;

The objective will be to provide consulting services in the area of SharePoint Development, Support and Maintenance of the developed Solutions.

The selected Consultant will be also required to provide supporting services in coordination of projects in the area of Microsoft SharePoint, training of users and other team members within the Business Solutions Development team.

The consultant’s duties will include the following :

Applications Development : 

  • Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes ;
  • Implement application development requirements, with a constant focus on coordinating business efficiencies through the activities of application development ;
  • Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using classic Microsoft .Net and SharePoint Server 2013/2016, SharePoint Online (Office 365) ;
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows, backend data and front-end, as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboards ;
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code ;
  • Coordinate and participate in system unit testing, and integration testing with promoting good practice and code standard ;
  • Train Junior Developers in the use of Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies.

SharePoint End User Support Service :

Support Users to the Documents Storage and Management : 

  1. Manage SharePoint document libraries and file work opportunities ;
  2. Organize the storage of documents and sort that using folders or metadata.

Support Users for Information Management : 

  1. Introduce the information in SharePoint by the lists (similar to tables) and on wiki pages ;
  2. How lists are suitable for structured and detailed data, and wiki pages are ideal for rapid dissemination and sharing of comprehensive information units.

Support Users for team organization and access control : 

  1. Using calendars and tasks ;
  2. How to set detailed access rights for individual users, from just viewing content to full site management.

Support Users for integration and social features : 

  1. Features like search, filtering, individual content display settings, aggregated search results, information, and content forwarding ;
  2. Share information between team members, within the organization and outside the organization.

Required skills and qualifications :

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, software development ;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting and maintaining SharePoint in an enterprise environment ;
  • SharePoint Professional Certification is desirable (e.g. MCSD, MCSE and MCP) ;
  • Mastering of .NET MVC technology (C#, VB.Net), SharePoint 2010- SP 2016, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JQuery & JavaScript ;
  • Experience in using Visual Studio and using Microsoft Team Foundation Services and GIT is also plus ;
  • Experience in SharePoint Designer Workflows ;
  • Experience in ASP.NET / MVC / C# .NET / HTLM / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery / REST / OData / CDN ;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills ;
  • SQL knowledge and experience plus ;
  • Experience of working with the AGILE methodology ;
  • Proven Development skills in SharePoint Integration tools such as SAP-Data Tools, Duet Enterprise, BizTalk and OpenText ;
  • Experience with Open Sources Content Management System such as Drupal, Alfresco is a plus but it is not required ;
  • Strong commitment to project objectives and deadlines ;
  • Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentation ;
  • Has good interpersonal skills and communication skills (to both technical and non-technical audiences) ;
  • Proven track record to work to strict business deadlines ;
  • Self-management and strong organization skills.

The Corporate Information Technology Services Department (CHIS) invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (documents, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;

The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;

The duration of services is 12 months and the estimated starting date is 01 January 2021 ;

  1. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SHORT LIST :

A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume.
