Job Description

  • Perform and participate in hazard studies and risk assessments undertaken for the safe program execution of operations.
  • Advise and enhance hazard recognition & risk control of management of change.
  • Participate in direct involvement in the Onboard Total E&P do Brasil Safety Programs
  • Take an active part in site activity planning and coordination meetings in a daily, tour and “toolbox” basis
  • Enhance and encourage the “management-by-walking-around” concept.
  • Ensure via periodic audit contractors PTW System is being managed and executed safely and correctly.
  • Assist, advise and enhance on-board root cause analyses of incident investigations & High Potential Incidents
  • Take an active role in construction of contractor’s “Job Safety Analyses” as related to program execution
  • Ensure active participation in the organization of pre-job safety meetings – paying particular attention to (1) hoisting operations preparation, (2) dropped object prevention awareness, (3) hand injury, (4) simultaneous operations, and (5) Critical Operations
  • Assist and advise to ensure timely & correct  follow-up reporting on events, incidents, accidents, anomalies
  • Ensure HSE performance monitoring and the related benchmarking of KPI’s are in place, well known and followed
  • Assist and advise HSE enhancement competency and training of personnel (company and contractors) – Ensure timely communication and reporting HSE Events into Synergi Tool.
  • Provide specific HSE on-the-job  training appropriately as required and ensure inclusion of all Contractor Supervision
  • Check on application of HSE policy and related reference documents including TEPBr procedure and TOTAL HSE Group Rules.
  • Develop Contractor Bridging Documents and ensure it is understood, relevant and being used in program execution activities
  • Assist & advise the HSE Methods and Operations Manager
  • Assist, advise and enhance ways & means of identifying hazards and controlling risks in SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) and/or Downgraded Situations
  • Assist managing the follow-up and effective communication-feedback to the deck crew work force of corrective actions related to accidents, inspections, audit and reviews
  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure proper alignment with TEPBr HSSE Management System and TOTAL ONE MAESTRO

Candidate profile

 

  • Graduate HSE Professional (e.g. Safety Engineer, Environmental Engineer, and Industrial Hygienist)
  • Experience in the HSSE arena in E&P activities in Production Offshore Installations and/or Drilling Vessels.
  • Personal skills: organized, able to cope with high levels of stress, ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary approach (high level of transversality) and to lead and motivate teams.
  • Communication and adaptability in multidisciplinary environment
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Mandatory computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
