Total is recruiting a Key Account Manager – Solar DG Oman, DUBAI-U BORA TWRS(ARE), United Arab Emirates

Job Description

  • Leading the Distributed Generation business for Multinational, and large local groups, including but not limited to marketing, business development, and sales
  • Identify trends and gather market intelligence to improve the Hub’s strategy  
  • Define, develop and deliver short- and long-term commercial strategies to address key market opportunities
  • Demonstrate leadership courage to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/high value responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with EPC partners/co developers
  • Develop and implement an effective channel management plan to ensure Total Solar is being recommended and introduced to strategic opportunities
  • Identify and target strategic clients and projects, establish long-term & trustful relationships with customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer activity, structure and nurture their stakeholder needs by proposing a high value proposition
  • Manage the tender process from prequalification to tender response
  • Negotiate the solar lease agreement with the client
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant departments (technical & project teams, credit, compliance and accounting teams)
  • Prepare dossiers/presentations to Total Solar Upper Management regarding project approvals about investment(s)/acquisition(s)
  • Manage the day to day activity of the sales coordinator(s) / account manager(s) and supervise their accounts
  • This role will be based in Oman – Muscat

Candidate profile

A strong candidate will have experience:
  • Analyzing the market to identify potential key customers in line with Total’s ambition.
  • Identifying effective ways to connect directly with customers at the senior management (C-level).
  • Building long-term relationships and structuring pricing proposals.
  • Coordinating with technical teams internally and externally.
  • Negotiating high-value contracts with C level executives

While it would be helpful for a candidate to have experience in Solar, we recognize that the solar rooftop market is nascent and therefore we are considering candidates with experience in adjacent sectors. It is important for candidates to have experience engaging with C-level and closing major contracts.

  • 5 years of sales experience positioning sophisticated solutions and cost-benefit analyses
  • 5 years of team management experience would be useful but not critical
  • Excellent communication skills and good technical knowledge coupled with a dynamic approach to sales.
  • Broad network across OMAN
