The major Responsibilities of this position are :
Project Planning and implementation
- Prepare a detailed project plan and set timelines, deliverables, etc.; Derive periodical work plans based on the project plan;
- Synchronize implementation plans across partners (internal and external);
- Define responsibilities within the team; Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for implementation activities in accordance with compliance guidelines;
- Conduct regular visits to field sites; Resolve any escalations;
- Track expenses against budget and escalate deviations in order to implement the project in an effective and efficient manner;
- Attend any meetings and activities of government to foster better relationships; Provide any required support to facilitate government events; Conduct regular visits to government officials in order to leverage relationships for seamless execution of the project.
- Collaborate with PM&E team to prepare training materials; Provide training to partner agencies on various aspects of participatory monitoring and evaluation;
Project Control and Review
- Review the progress of service centers routinely and seek clarifications;
- Monitor monthly progress of sub-recipients against work-plan via progress reports and monitoring reports;
- Review quarterly Programmatic reports;
- Conduct monitoring visits and review the performance of on-site field staff and partner agencies;
- Coordinate with PM&E officers for visit reports and review the same;
- Review the adherence to visit schedule by PM&E officers;
- Coordinate with partner agencies and NGOs to resolve any queries in order to maintain compliance with the work-plan.
Research Concept and Protocol Development
- Explore different research ideas based on analysis of dynamic situations on field sites;
- Finalize a particular idea for research; Develop conceptual framework in terms of problems and solutions, comparative analysis etc.;
- Assess and analyses alignment of research hypothesis and objectives with goals of the project and finalize them in consultation with supervisor;
- Prepare and finalize research design and methodology, data collection method to be used in consultation with the supervisor;
Scientific Analysis and Knowledge Creation
- Coordinate with the data management team and conduct detailed data analysis (qualitative and quantitative);
- Apply rigorous scientific analysis to research findings and derive implications;
- Provide recommendations for the problems that surfaced from the research activities;
- Prepare manuscripts / research reports/ M&E reports based on research study;
Required qualifications and experience:
- MBBS with Masters in public health.
- At least 05 years of experience in public health-related projects or empowerment intervention projects in national/international organizations. Experience of working in the field of HIV and with marginalized populations will be given preference.
