The Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate cooperation among stakeholders related with the governance of transboundary rivers in the Ganges – Brahmaputra – Meghna river basins. This includes stakeholders from the government, private sector, civil society, and grassroots communities. The position will primarily focus on –
Transboundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) programme (2017-2021) is now starting its second phase in Bangladesh, as TROSA 2: Rivers, Rights ad Resilience (T2:3R). The project will run from 2023 to 2026 with a specific focus on strengthening riparian communities’ resilience against the impacts of climate change and water-related shocks.

This position is placed strategically as a point of engagement between the ‘Climate Justice and Natural Resource Rights’ and ‘Economic Inclusion and Justice Team’ to engage with water governance stakeholders for strengthen livelihood of climate change impacted community. One of the key expectations from this position is to bridge the local and marginalized voices with the most influential duty bearers in the government and private sectors within and beyond boundary.
