Job purpose:

Since early 2018, VINCI Airports has operated Salvador Airport (7.9 million passengers in 2019). Salvador is the 4rd largest Brazilian city after São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. This airport has been recognized by Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) as “Brazil’s most sustainable aerodrome in 2019 “.

Early April 2021, VINCI Airports was awarded a 30-year concession for seven airports of the North region of Brazil, including Manaus (4.7 million passengers in 2019).

The finance administration of these 8 airports portfolio (Salvador, Manaus, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Boa Vista, Cruzeiro do Sul, Tabatinga and Téfé) will be managed from Salvador.

Following this acquisition, VINCI Airports and the local CFO look for a Structured Finance Manager to support locally the CFO for implementing/monitoring the financing, in coordination as well with the Structured Finance team of VINCI Concessions in France.

The VIE will report to the CFO (VINCI expatriate, based in Salvador de Bahia – Brazil).

The direct reporting to the CFO will be a unique opportunity for the VIE to learn about the various financial functions in the concessions business (Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, Controlling,…) and to develop his/her financial and soft skills.

 

Duties & responsibilities:

The main functions of the VIE will be:

contributing to the financing structuring alongside the CFO, VINCI Concessions Structured Finance team and Financial Advisor: modelling, negotiations of the financial documentation and conditions, …;

managing the debts drawdown, in coordination with the Technical team (construction milestones achievement) and the Lenders (including their technical advisors);

ensuring the compliance of the project with the contractual obligations within the financial documentation, including: reporting to the lenders and their advisors (technical, insurances,…), security package monitoring, participation to the negotiation of the project documents (e.g. construction),…;

leading the implementation of the Operating Financial model for these 7 new airports (support of an external party to develop the model when/where appropriate); and

managing the treasury: cash-management, relationships with the banks,…

On top of these main functions, and depending on the workload and capabilities, the VIE will support the CFO and the wider finance team on various subjects: Business opportunities analysis, Corporate Finance, Controlling, Budgeting, Benchmarking with other VINCI Airports, processing innovations, …

Portuguese is a plus (not mandatory; wish to learn Portuguese)
