You have:

  • A University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, journalism, public relations, political science) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, including event organization and development of communication strategies.
  • An in-depth understanding of internal communication strategy and public relations.
  • An enhanced knowledge of IDRC, its activities, and the environment in which it operates.

You are:

  • A skilled communicator and a team player with great interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform research related tasks.
  • Great at managing projects and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Qualified to establish, manage, and monitor relationships with diverse and experienced stakeholders.

You are interested in:

  • Leading and managing high visibility outreach and liaison activities with important stakeholders.
  • Managing public events, public information requests, parliamentary returns and liaison with government departments and agencies, as well as program related activities.
  • Contributing to the development, production, and dissemination of high-visibility corporate communications materials.
  • Preparing, organizing, and delivering presentations on IDRC tailored to different audiences.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Additional Information:

* Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (Minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
