ExxonMobil recruits a Maintenance Supervisor (Fixed Equipment) – Huizhou, 44, CN

Job Role Responsibilities:
  • Support the safe, efficient and on time commissioning and start-up of ExxonMobil Huizhou Chemical Complex, meeting project objectives and strategies
    • Interface with Project craft engineer/supervisor to ensure maintainability of new facilities and coordinate any witness requirement for rotating equipment on ‘needed’ basis
    • Interface with Project and Process team to perform and document punch listing
    • Interface with Process team to develop job pack on system commissioning package and lead task team to execute the package safely and effectively.
    • Interface with Reliability and Engineering Service Engineer to develop spare part strategy and review Spare Parts and Interchangeability Review documentation
    • Interface with Material Coordinator on spare parts/special tools inspection, transfer and part preservation program
    • Help to recruit maintenance technicians. Liaise with other sites or/and 3rd party service provider to deliver quality training. Prepare training modules for maintenance team and carry out competency testing to the required standard.
    • Drive maintenance related procedures development, review and approval.
  • Responsible and accountable for all maintenance activities performed at his/her area of responsibility.
  • SHE leadership – uphold the highest SHE standard and practices, foster the desired safety culture & behaviors, competency and leadership in the Start Up team.  Report, investigate and learn from all incidents and near misses, eliminate root causes. Meet SHE and process safety targets.
  • Create high performing team. Coach, mentor and supervise direct reports. Steward employees’ development.
  • Ensure that all employees / contractors and all activities meet applicable ExxonMobil management systems (e.g., SSHE, Controls and Quality).
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills in holding employees and/or contractors accountable for their field safety and execution performance (scope compliance, cost, quality, efficiencies, etc.). Ensurethe maintenance management are informed of major issues and safety concerns.
  • Effectively manage maintenance strategies, planning, scheduling and execution to ensure safety, reliability and integrity.
  • Responsible for ensuring Best Practices, Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) expectations, permitting process are followed. Possess a strong awareness of factors that drive project / Turn-Around implementation costs – with appropriate cost control skills.
  • Work actively to remove barriers to help ensure maintenance / project / turn-around work activities meet its cost and time delivery goals.
  • Collaborate with Planners/Schedulers and/or outside service providers (OSP) to develop resource plan, verify and endorse OSP cost estimates.
  • Responsible for managing maintenance activities within the budget, identify and capture efficiencies and prioritize work commitments, steward AFE’s
  • Daily coordination with the service providers. Demonstrate strong awareness of mechanical work quality expectations to ensure work is “done right” and “done safely”.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • College or bachelor degree in mechanical engineering related major.
  • About 10 years of working experience in Petrochemical industry. Strong technical and analytical competency in fixed equipment
  • Experience in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up of process unit is an advantage.
  • Experience in international projects, Multi-National Corporations or Joint Venture is an advantage.
  • Good planning, supervisory, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities and people.
  • Able to use English as the working language. Computer & SAP literate
