  1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Senior SharePoint Developer.
  1. The objective will be to provide technical consulting services in the area of SharePoint and Front-end development for the Sankofa Programme, amongst others. The consultant may also be involved in training and support activities.

The consultants’ duties will include the following:

  • Develop software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Implement application development requirements, with a constant focus on coordinating business efficiencies through the activities of application development.
  • Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server Platform, as well as other front-end HTML5 components.
  • Manage applications and configurations deployments for Bank’s business units.
  • Implement of SharePoint-based workflows
  • Implement of Business Intelligence dashboards
  • Implement SharePoint integration with other systems, especially IBM Filenet.
  • Participate in components architecture definition.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Coordinate and participate in system unit testing, and integration testing with promoting good practice and code standard.
  • Coordinate tasks with other developers when necessary.
  • Participate to user trainings.
  1. Deliverables:

The following is the list of expected deliverables during the assignment:

  • Systems deployed and source code
  • System and program test plans
  • Full documentation of the developed solutions
  • Issue diagnostics and fixes
  • Deployment and support for software bug fix/feature releases
  1. Required skills and qualifications:

The candidates must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, software development.
  • Minimum of five (05) years’ experience in developing on SharePoint platform in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Sharepoint Online required
  • SharePoint Professional Certification is desirable (e.g. MCSD, MCSE and MCP).
  • Mastering of .NET technology (C#, VB.Net), MVC
  • Mastering of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS), REST Web Services, OData,
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate desirable
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Office 365 and Azure Information Protection (AIP)
  • Experience in Mobile Apps development
  • Experience in Enterprise Content Management platforms is a plus (IBM Filenet preferably or other similar platforms).
  • Experience in Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is a plus
  • Advanced UI Design Skills
  • Experience in using Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft Team Foundation Services and GIT is also plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • SQL knowledge and experience
  • Experience of working with the Agile methodologies
  • Skills in SAP and SharePoint Integration is a plus
  • Proven track record to work to strict business deadlines
  • Self-management and strong organization skills
  1. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure. Please, note that interest expressed by a consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist.
  1. The duration of services is six (06) months, and the estimated starting date is 01 April 2023.
