Chemonics International is seeking technical experts to support the anticipated Egypt Climate Smart
Agriculture project. The project is envisioned to work closely with government counterparts, the private
sector, and other stakeholders to support Egypt’s agricultural sector in adopting climate-resilient
methods to bolster agricultural productivity and mitigate the effects of climate change. These positions
will likely be based in Cairo, Egypt.

We are seeking mid- and senior-level technical specialists in the following areas:
• Agricultural productivity and technology;
• Climate science;
• Agricultural inputs;
• Public-private partnerships;
• Private sector engagement;
• National and sub-national policy/enabling environment;
• Agriculture and environmental surveys and integrity workshops;
• Climate smart technologies analysis;
• Strategic communications and social and behavior change;
• Climate adaptation and mitigation advocacy.

Qualifications for technical experts:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international development, agriculture,
environmental science, national resource development, climate science, public policy, or
another related field;
• At least five years of demonstrated technical expertise and experience scoping, designing,
and/or managing programming in agriculture economics, climate change, and policy;
• Experience working on USAID–funded activities is preferred;
• Work experience in the Middle East and North Africa region and specifically Egypt is preferred;
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with government officials,
NGOs/grantees, local media, the private sector, and other donors;
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic and English.
