Responsibilities include:

Contribute to partnership management teams, including:

  • Support in project design and management, contributing to the development of quality project deliverables such as reports, communications materials, workshops, etc.
  • Prepare and attend partner-facing meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
  • Coordinate conversations, major deliverables, and reporting with all relevant project team members across Changemaker Companies and Ashoka.

Provide day-to-day support to the Changemaker Companies’ communications workstream, including:

  • Contribute to designing and executing CMC’s overall external and internal communications strategies, including our online and social strategies.
  • Design, organize and implement external events (virtual and in-person) that engage social entrepreneurs, companies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Define KPIs to track the success of the communications’ workstream, including the establishment and management of monitoring and evaluation processes and tools that track the success of this community and the changing visibility of CMC (the brand and image).
  • Other responsibilities to ensure strong communications for CMC.

Engage across the CMC team and Ashoka more broadly to ensure integration and communication across corporate partnerships:

  • Lead/contribute to regular convenings of partnership management teams to ensure sharing of best practices and challenges.
  • Contribute to knowledge management related to best practice communications strategies & tools, design of workshops, employee engagement strategies, impact measurement, reporting, etc.

Requirements

Demonstrable Project Management Skills and Experience 

  • Experience leading / supporting programs and projects.
  • Proven experience of project management approaches, tools and the phases of a project life-cycle. 1-2 years of professional experience coordinating or managing projects is a plus. Candidates with more than 5 years of work experience will not be considered.
  • Attentiveness to detail, highly organized.
  • Expertise in facilitation and group collaboration/design thinking.

A Passion & Interest for Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Impact 

  • A good understanding of Ashoka and its vision, as well as the social entrepreneurship field.
  • Passionate about the role of companies in social change.
  • Experience working in the corporate sector is a plus.
  • Interest to grow and learn in the partnership management space, and increasingly become an expert.

Good Communication and Intrapreneurial Skills 

  • An intrapreneurial spirit, with experience working in a start-up environment or leading innovation projects inside existing organizations.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (French a plus).
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups/backgrounds, and across the social and corporate sectors.
  • A good grasp of social media, and ideas or experience to use social media to drive social change.
  • The ability to translate complex concepts into clear and attractive PowerPoint presentations – good eye for design.

Willingness to relocate to the DC/DMV area is a must.
