The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial administration of FYF. The Finance Manager will ensure accuracy on financial documentation, in coordination with other members of the finance team, manage finance controls, and oversee all reporting and auditing. We are looking for an individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of religious minorities recovering from genocide who believes in the importance and value of civil society organizations, trauma treatment, justice and accountability, and women’s rights. The Finance Manager will report to the Executive Director and will manage the Back Office Manager, Finance Associate, and Field Finance Manager. (S)he will be expected to work remotely.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform several functions:

  • Oversee FYF USA and FYF NL audits
  • Oversee the financial aspects of grant management and donor reporting
  • Oversee financial authorizations
  • Work with Programs Director on program budget development
  • Oversee BVAs for all projects
  • Manage cash flow across FYF USA, FYF NL, and Iraq bank account
  • Prepare pipelines and internal transfers
  • Oversee QuickBooks
  • Review and approve salary payment forms
  • Work directly with the Executive Director to oversee all financial matters
  • Manage Back Office Manager and Finance Associate

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, development finance, or related field is a distinct advantage. Master’s degree and/or accounting designation preferred.
  • Three to five years of finance administration experience in development or humanitarian programs.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of QBO accounting software.
  • A genuine commitment to working at the community level to improve the lives of members of a persecuted religious minority.
  • A good understanding of the overall project cycle management. This should include a good understanding of working with donor guidelines and following up on program compliance.
  • Proven capabilities in integrity and strong attention to detail are required, with the ability to work independently and with a diverse team, communicate effectively with individuals from different backgrounds, and contribute to overall team capacity building.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to write documents, reports, and present information in English is required.
