ALIMA recrute un responsable des dons majeurs (H/F), New York, USA

ALIMA INTRODUCTION

ALIMA is a locally-led African humanitarian medical organization currently operating over 50 programs in 13 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, all in some of the most neglected areas of the world, where one in five children die before the age of five, primarily from preventable and treatable causes. Many suffer from the effects of armed conflict, population displacement, food shortages, and outbreaks of deadly diseases. Nearly 90% of ALIMA’s programs operate in conflict zones and focus on aid to the most vulnerable: children, women, refugees, and internally displaced persons. It is ALIMA’s firm belief that all people should have access to quality health services, regardless of where they live and what resources they have.

Headquartered in Dakar with offices in Paris and New York, the organization was established to fill the growing gap of unmet humanitarian needs in some of the most underserved areas of the world.

ALIMA provides direct medical care and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable families in need; partners with and builds the capacity of local medical organizations and health actors; and conducts medical and operational research that brings innovation to the field, leading to sustainable solutions and improved delivery of humanitarian assistance.

ALIMA works across 13 countries with more than 2,400 aid workers and HQ staff. The US section, ALIMA USA, is based in New York and actively works on fundraising, communicating, and representing ALIMA’s activities in North America to support our fieldwork. The extended ALIMA alliance includes individuals and partner teams working on behalf of other organizations such as medical NGOs BEFEN, ALERT Santé, SOS Médecins/KEOOGO, AMCP, research organizations PACCI and INSERM, Oxford University, University of Bordeaux or Copenhagen University, the INGO Solidarités International and many others.
