Job Dimension

The AME/DRO 2G&R Project Manager will work and act as a Technical Team lead for the geosciences and reservoir engineering evaluations which support business decisions regarding acquisition of Discovered Resources Opportunities (DRO) in the area and will be assigned as the Project Mgr.

S/he has a direct impact on the technical quality and schedule management of these geosciences and reservoirs evaluations.

S/he will be also responsible for the value assessment of Exploration prospects (Prospect Studies) in the Region whether it is patrimonial or new business opportunities.

S/he must work closely with the other entities in charge of the Development studies (Drilling, Facilities, Economics) both for DRO and prospect studies. Her/his high experience of the area should allow Her/him to challenge the key parameters of the Development and economic studies.

S/he may also participate in the evaluation of DRO and prospects located in other areas when needed.

Human aspects

  • The AME/DRO Senior Reservoir engineer and Project Mgr is in constant interaction with the Reservoir/DRO Manager of the Region, the Regional Excellence, the Exploration manager, and the Development teams from the affiliate and from the HQ (Paris).
  • S/he acts as 3G Technical team lead for geosciences studies and coordinates as Project Mgr the activity of up to 5 to 10 people

S/he collaborates with other HQ entities on the development aspects of the DRO evaluations and Exploration prospect studies.

Activities
The AME/DRO 2G&R Project Manager participates in the evaluation, proposal and execution of the acquisition of discovered hydrocarbon resources (DRO) in his/her respective regional perimeter. S/he is also responsible for the value assessment of Exploration prospects for the same perimeter (appraisal strategy, development assumptions and input for economics). S/he may also participate in the evaluation of DRO and prospects located in other areas of the Region when relevant.

Context and environment

  • DRO evaluations are conducted in a time constrained environment, with limited hard data available and therefore maximal uncertainties that have to be managed with the appropriate 2G&R skills.
  • Working in coordination with Region/DRO Mgr, DSO, SCR, Exploration manager of the affiliate, Senior Reservoir Advisor/DRO
  • Assures the execution of all DRO acquisition activities in the region

 

Candidate profile

Master’s degree in earth sciences / engineering, 15+ years of petroleum and reservoir engineering experience with prior experience as a Technical team lead for Integrated Field studies for Offshore/ Deep offshore projects in the Gulf of Mexico (Geosciences, Reservoir engineering, Development). Significant experience in reservoir, field development evaluations in the Gulf Of Mexico deep offshore is required.

Soft skills: good listener, team player, ability to influence, excellent communicator, cross-functional understanding.
