Background:

The International Rescue Committee, one of the world’s largest humanitarian international NGOs, provides relief, rehabilitation and development support to vulnerable people and communities over 30 countries. We began work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to severe drought in Ethiopia’s Somali region and are currently providing assistance to Ethiopians and refuguees in six regions in Ethiopia, implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.

 

Scope:

Under the supervision of the Finance Officer, the finance assistant is responsible for preparation of government invoice reporting through the templet shared by inland revenue authority from the latest status up to March ,2021 and report for finance officer for review.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare government invoice reporting for all IRC transactions as per the templet given by inland revenue authority
  • Proper Documentation of payments (make sure that all documents are attached e.g. Delivery, Cash Receipt, Delegation letter, cheque copy, and etc.)
  • Filling (Sequential arrangement and labeling of grant files, ledgers, balance sheets for Addis Ababa & field offices documents)
  • Stamping (Make sure that all payments have paid stamp)
  • Photocopying and scanning of documents (copying documents whenever there is a need)
  • Assist in arranging finance documents during IRC’s Internal /external auditing
  • Assist the finance Assistant in collecting advices, checks and statements from the bank
  • Assisting all the finance team as required.
  • VAT tracking for partners.
  • Assisting all the finance team as required
  • Updating sub-grant tracking sheet.
  • Preparing document for cash transfer made to partners.

 

Profil

  • Diploma accounting with years or Degree in accounting with zero year experience.
  • Knowledge in operating excel & word is advantageous.
  • The candidate shall have good communication skill.
  • S/he must be committed and willing to works under stress environment and should perform tasks independently.
