JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the overall guidance of the NbS Coordinator, the Project Assistant will undertake following specific responsibilities:

• Assist the NbS Coordinator in successfully implementing all project activities in accordance with the project agreement.
• Assist the NbS Coordinator to maintain communication with donors and key project stakeholders.
• Conduct and assist project team in organizing meetings, seminars and training workshops.
• Contribute to monthly reporting and monitoring of project activity and update the team on project progress.
• Assist in liaising and follow up with the Travel Officer in booking trips and ensuring that all the relevant forms are duly filled in and completed.
• Assist with the monthly reviews and project portal updates for the project.
• Work closely with Project Accountant to make financial reports available with internal quarterly and donor reports.
• Undertake any other tasks that may be assigned by the Regional Director, Regional Programme Coordinator and Programme Coordinator, from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS
• A University Degree in biodiversity conservation or a related field.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in project administration and preferably for projects related to biodiversity conservation, climate change resilience and adaptation or a related field.

• Experience in communicating academic institutions and local, national and regional stakeholders to achieve agreed collective outcomes.

• Sound English (verbal/written) with excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in using office applications (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and other web-based management systems.
