Summary of Position

The Assistant Grant & Business Development Manager will be in charge of the regular follow-up with donors, including the various aspects of the management of the contracts. He/She actively contribute to the proposal writing process for all new projects to be submitted to donors in close collaboration with both the Field Coordinator and the technical team in the country, and also play the role of communication focal point.

KEY ACTIVITIES IN YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE

  • Participate in the elaboration and development of concept notes and proposals related to AAH strategic plan.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of budget proposals, writing of concept notes in collaboration with both the Field Coordinator, the Heads of Departments (HOD) and the Technical Director of Programs,
  • Ensure reporting of activities, internally and to institutional and international donors;
  • Ensure communication and accountability of projects towards departmental institutions and local authorities in the areas of intervention;
  • Demonstrate strong ability with project management, budget preparation, monitoring and evaluation, reporting writing, etc.
  • Guarantee the regular monitoring and analysis of the context of AAH’s areas of intervention
  • Ensure the traceability of documents related to programs and projects
  • Be a strong support to the Gender focal point and all the GBV /PSEA initiatives

Requirements :

  • Post-graduate qualifications ideally with a specialization in humanitarian intervention development projects, strong knowledge of Nutrition, FSL, WASH, social protection, DRR or any other relevant field;
  • Minimum 4 years of work experiences;
  • Knowledge /experience in proposal writing;
  • Good skills in strategic planning;
  • Experience in community mobilization (or community-based approach);
  • Experience in project management / Advocacy and Research;
  • Experience in proposal development, logical framework development and donors reporting requirements (USAID, UN Agencies, EU, ECHO, SIDA, GAC, etc.);
  • Work experience in humanitarian settings;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Team player with strong ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload according to the changing needs of the program.
