The Role:

Oxfam in Indonesia is looking for project officer to support the delivery of Anticipatory Action project supervised by The Humanitarian Manager, particularly in the area of project administration, event organizing, communications. In addition, he/she will support Humanitarian Manager in planning, preparing, and executing activities, coordinating, and communicating with partners in project activities, and engaging with partners to ensure the achievement of the project objective.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:

ESSENTIAL 

  • Self-Awareness;
  • Agility, Complexity, and Ambiguity;
  • Systems Thinking;
  • Having good communication skill and relationship building;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Disaster Management, Administration or other fields.
  • At the least three years proven experience in project management especially in Disaster Risk Reduction or Resilience or Climate adaptation & mitigation and or Humanitarian response program;
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience of project management including managing project administrative and budget wise in different projects;
  • Ready to travel to the project sides across Indonesia or other as required.

Desirable

  • Proven evidence of leadership skills including challenging, motivating, and enabling through periods of change.
  • Pro-active and has ability to work both individually and within a team.
  • Sound knowledge on gender mainstreaming in projects and guide project staff herein. Having Knowledge and experience of implementing Cash Transfer, Anticipatory or Forecast – based Action program, and an active commitment to promoting gender equity and the interests of marginalized people in all aspects of Oxfam’s work.
