Report writing

  • Maintain an updated calendar of project report obligations.
  • Follow up with the Heads of programs, technical advisors and MEL, and other support function focal points on progress of project implementation and the collection of data according to the means of verification;
  • Support the GWRM to coordinate the collection of information and support the drafting of donor reports, including required annexes.
  • Maintain and update the online-shared Project Management tool on a regular basis. Share information with SMT and Regional focal points, as required.
  • Support the GWRM in the coordination with the Advocacy and Communications Manager to ensure quality success stories are included in the donors’ reports.

Capacity building

  • Support the GWRM in providing capacity building to the program and grants focal points in the hubs in proposal and report writing (to RI and partners).
  • Support in the organization of workshops for Project Cycle Management in coordination with the program teams (RI and partners), including all the tools required, to be led by the DCD-PQ and Deputy Hub team leaders.
  • Support the GWRM in the preparation of any grants workshops for RI and partners’ program and operation staff on donor guidelines, regulations, and strategies, led by the DCD-PQ, Regional Awards Manager, and compliance focal points.

Safeguarding and conduct

  • Uphold and promote RI’s commitment to ensuring the safeguarding and safety of the vulnerable communities we serve.
  • Consistent with RI’s safeguarding and protection policies, contribute to ensuring that all those who come into contact with Relief International staff and the communities we serve can be trusted to work safely with them
  • Support and develop systems that create and maintain an environment that prevents sexual exploitation and abuse and promotes the implementation of the Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Global Safeguarding Manager to advocate for the inclusion of safeguarding activities and resources within program
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of donor requirements of safeguarding standards and protection from exploitation and abuse.

  • This position will require a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, with proven ability to proofread and edit documents. Proficiency in Arabic is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a team and in a multi-cultural setting;
  • An academic qualification, at a university Bachelor’s level or equivalent in development studies, social sciences, global studies, or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in humanitarian or development sector, preferably in program development, funding, and/or grants management. Specifically, experience with reporting and proposal development including narratives, budgets, and results in frameworks is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
