General Responsibilities (Overall purpose)

The Case Management Officer is responsible for following on the implementation of case management’s services, ensuring that case management is in line with Tdh’s policies, procedures and best practices; they are responsible for working with Tdh’s partner organizations to ensure that there case management implementation is of high quality, and that a child centered approach is being delivered. Importantly, the Case Management Officer is responsible for ensuring that Tdh’s safeguarding policies are consistently followed and that partner Case Managers are fully aware on the policies.

Specific Responsibilities / Context (Tasks)

Case Management Support

  • Supervise and participate in planning case management interventions with partner case managers.
  • Conduct regular field visits to partners to follow up on case management activities, ensuring that the interventions are in line with Tdh policies and procedures on case management.
  • Conduct regular spot checks to partner locations, providing the findings to MEAL, programs, and the Case Management Supervisor.
  • Participate in partner capacity building (training, coaching and mentoring).
  • Highlight areas of improvement for Case Managers and work with the Case Management Specialist in order to implement improvement plans.
  • Evaluate the quality of provided services to the beneficiaries and develop action plans to improve this if necessary.
  • Identify technical challenges and obstacles in the implementation.
  • Ensure that Tdh’s safeguarding policy is known and implemented by all Case Managers.
  • Maintain good coordination with the Case Management Specialist

Coordination with actors and stakeholders

  • Monitoring the partners case managers as they present Tdh at all external case conferences.
  • Support the case managers of the partners present Tdh in the SUP-working groups.
  • Organize case management coordination meetings with relevant staff members on regular basis.

Reporting & Communication

  • Produce and submit a monthly report about the activities and support provided to partner Case Managers
  • Ensure proper documentation of TDH experiences and lessons learnt in the project
  • Share best practices, case studies, success stories and other relevant information with Communication Officer.

Requirements for the position

Education / Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree psychology, social works, or other relevant degree in line with the position responsibilities.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, case management and counselling skills with children and adults.
  • Experience in Coaching and leadership.
  • Experience in or commitment to, working with individuals and families from different backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge and interest of gender issues and ability to mainstream gender considerations into programming.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in similar positions.

Languages

IT Knowledges

English language proficiency.

Excellent reporting skills using MCS Office.
