SCOPE OF WORK AND MAIN TASKS

The Program Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technical efforts and project activities by providing M&E, administrative and logistical support. She or he will report to the Senior Project Manager and work closely with other Adeso and KujaLink functional teams.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Program administration and operations support (50%)
  • Provide administrative coordination support by working closely with internal teams (HR/Finance/Operations)
  • Using KujaLink’s standard templates, compile mission, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly reports and
  • contribute the project quarterly reports and activities updates
  • Coordinate with and assist the Senior Project Manager to ensure adequate coverage during the absence of the Project Leadership (i.e., vacation, TDY).
  • Prepare Purchase Requests for project items to be procured by the team while being aware of, and adhere to, Procurement Integrity and Business Ethics standards in all activities.
  • Review and preliminarily process invoices from consultants, subcontractors, and vendors for a timely submission to Adeso Accounting in accordance with project requirements and procedures.
  • Provide general support to project team members when traveling.II. M & E support (50%)
  • Provide support to Kujalink’s development and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation metrics plan in compliance with both internal project and donor rules, policies and procedures, and corporate agreements;
  • Collaborate with the technical team in the extraction of strategic information and the development of Progress update reports, donors reports, and other related reports
  • Help the team in continuous improvement of Kujalink’s growth strategy, that includes supporting proposal development and business modeling.
  • Performs any other task related to Monitoring & Evaluation, assigned by the Senior project manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with specific coursework or additional certifications in Project/Program Management, Technology, Administration or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a related professional setting
  • Excellent written and verbal language skills in English
  • Demonstrated skills in spreadsheets and presentation tools for analysis and presentations of information and data
  • Ability to map vital and control processes within a project ecosystem.
  • Proven competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as an effective team member in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, partners, and consultants
  • Ability to Identify, evaluate, and mitigate against project snafus

DESIRABLE

  • Solid understanding of social enterprises
  • Experience in project management and facilitating team collaboration.
  • Data analysis and trend-spotting.
  • Added advantage to know/have used Google Marketing Platform.
  • Experience in Cost, schedule, scope, and stakeholder monitoring and management.
  • Preference given for applicants based in East Africa.
