The Manager Agility Projects will manage special agility projects within the finance and supply chain by leading and/or coordinating the planning, designing, implementing, and reviewing phases of assigned projects. This includes driving and monitoring these projects to ensure they are delivered within agreed time frames, budget and quality expectations. This also includes understanding, engaging, and managing diverse stakeholders to achieve proper design & completion of the improvement projects. This role will contribute to the team planning activities by providing review and challenge to ensure appropriate rigor in decision-making, risk management, status reporting, and follow-up.

MAJOR RESPONSABILITES

Up to 35% – Support, manage and/or lead the Execution Performance and Control phase

  • Agrees on current state processes with stakeholders.
  • Negotiates agreement on future state processes with stakeholders (i.e. running workshops).
  • Manages the project with regard to budget, time, milestone delivery, communications plan, risk register, etc.
  • Defines project governance.

Up to 25% – Identification of business improvement opportunities

  • Networks with the business to identify pain points and potential improvements.
  • Researches pain points/improvements and creates Business Cases where required.
  • Prioritizes improvement opportunity taking into consideration the value of opportunity, organization environment and strategic goals.

Up to 15% – Support, manage and/or lead Concept Design or Project Initiation phase

  • Identifies opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce pain points or save on expenses.
  • Researches market best practices for policies and processes as well as the market for new technology or services that may be applicable to World Vision.
  • Develops relationships with stakeholders in the business to understand their processes, pain points and potential improvements.
  • Writes Business Case/Proposal/Budget.

Up to 15% – Support, manage and/or lead the Definition & Planning phase

  • Understands business requirements and processes.
  • Develops and maintains a broad range of relationships across the organization to understand their processes, needs and pain points as well as to influence and educate the business on each segment/team’s processes, needs and pain points.
  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders.

10% – Analytical insight, support and leadership

  • Responds to information requests from the team.
  • Undertakes ad hoc data mining and analysis to provide meaningful insights.
  • Critiques project reports, including Business Cases, Status Reports and Post Implementation Reviews.
  • Assist their manager as needed.
  • Participate in projects, initiatives and meetings/conferences/working groups and exercise leadership and influence in the broader Finance and Supply Chain team.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required minimum professional experience, education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • University degree in business, management, finance or accountancy.
  • Proven ability to understand and lead improvements in complex processes within the World Vision Partnership.
  • Proven ability to form and nurture partnerships and work together with stakeholders who may have competing objectives.
  • Substantial experience influencing and working with other people, including workshop and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Substantial experience managing projects.
  • Ability to identify and manage politically sensitive issues.
  • Extensive and advanced knowledge in financial/management accounting and reporting.
  • 4-5 years of managerial experience preferably within the World Vision Partnership.
  • 4-5 years experience with data management, project financial reporting, and analysis.

Preferred skills, knowledge and experience:

Qualified accountant – CPA or CA.

Post graduate qualification.

Qualification in project management.

Familiarity with PMBOK, Six Sigma, PRINCE2, Agile or other project management framework experience preferred.

Language Requirements:

  • High fluent level of professional and technical English, spoken and written. Proficiency in Spanish, French or other languages is an added advantage.
