About the Position

The HR Executive (Recruitment) will focus on administration as well as recruitment of high-quality talent, for both WorldFish’s regular and complimentary workforce. The post holder will support hiring managers, develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies, and employment selection, coordinate and schedule interviews, across time-zones and cultures. The successful candidate will:

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment plans utilizing effective and cost-effective strategies, adapting approaches and external communications as needed. This may include status tracking of approved recruitment clearances, drafting and posting of vacancy announcements, applicant screening and profile and background checks to ensure smooth recruitment process and positions are filled in timely manner.
  • Support and follow-up on processes and procedures associated with employment lifecycle, which includes recruitment, onboarding, probation documentation, employee verification, learning and development, salary and benefits administration, contract renewals, performance management process/forms and termination/staff disengagement.
  • Liaise with applicants at all stages of the recruitment process to ensure they have a positive recruitment experience regardless of outcome of the candidacy.
  • Maintain updated and accurate data in HR related systems/database, and provide updated and accurate recruitment and other HR related reports.
  • Process recruitment related payments including payments for job posts, recruitment accounts, airfares, accommodations, per diems and others.
  • Support WorldFish’s gender and diversity goals by supporting and guiding efforts to build a diverse pipeline of talent through promotion on relevant media while ensuring the use of gender-neutral language.
  • Collaborate across departments and geographies, interacting with staff in regional offices as well as all departments at WorldFish headquarters.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as corporate team building activities, meetings, trainings and employee recognition events.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the HR/People & Culture initiatives in support of WorldFish and CGIAR’s mission and vision.
  • Coordinate with relevant personnel to update and maintain human resource related information across relevant platforms, organizational charts, staff lists, etc. Produce reports and draft personnel related communications and documents.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, recruitment and processes, etc. ensuring prompt resolution, referring more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

Requirements

This job might be for you if you have the below skills and qualifications:

  • A professional qualification in human resources management and/or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in human resource related activities in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience in HR administration and knowledgeable in HR laws, management and administration.
  • Enthusiastic, independent, detail-minded, analytical, highly numerate and computer literate.
  • Must be tactful, patient, diplomatic and approachable.
  • Trustworthy, high level of integrity and ability to keep confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a team-oriented multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office packages and internet search engines.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in international recruitment will be an added advantage.

Benefits

This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, 15% employer provident fund contribution, paid leave and others. The duration of the contract will initially be for a three-year period with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance.
