Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) recherche un Responsable principal du paysage et des investissements durables (H/F), Ouzbékistan.

 

 

 

Purpose :

  • Conducts socio-economic, statistical, market and investment analyses for development of climate smart value chains and trade opportunities relevant to agriculture, agroforestry, forestry, fishery (and other related) industries, from production to export/consumption, providing timely, coherent outputs tailored for specialist or general audiences;
  • Leads data collection, analyses and engagement with stakeholders for development of green value-chain business models, and for development of green business entrepreneurship platform targeting agri-business and environmental value-chain stakeholders in Karakalpakstan;
  • Provides technical inputs for the development of new projects under the guidance of the Country Representative;
  • Constructs technical inputs for the review and development of new policy and other strategic planning documents as requested the government and assigned by the Country Representative.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Advanced university degree in areas such as agriculture, international business, agricultural / environmental economics with further financial / economics training, and/or other related fields;
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the promotion and implementation of low-carbon, climate-resilient, green growth development technologies, practices and marketing and trade related to Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental sectors or Bio-economic product value chains;
  • Experience in development, implementation, assessment of projects related to at least one of the following sectors/areas: renewable energy, energy efficiency, green urban development, sustainable waste management,
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, and development/reading of financial models and balance sheets;
  • Development of analysis of investment projects for economic/financial, natural, and social capital returns is a plus;
  • Experience in financial structuring of green and climate finance instruments is a plus;
  • Hands-on project management experience, an ability to efficiently manage a large number of activities simultaneously and to navigate through complex environments is a plus;
  • Working experience in developing partnerships with development partners, and private sector companies in Central Asian region will be advantage;
  • Oral and written fluency in English;
  • Language skills in Uzbek or Russian languages is a plus.
