JOB PURPOSE

To perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Conduct distribution monitoring for the food modality at the level of distribution points, including conducting beneficiary interviews during distributions.  The frequency is based on the sample and monitoring requirements;
  2. Conduct post distribution monitoring visits at household beneficiaries’ level collecting through conducting semi-structured interviews;
  3. Conduct monitoring visits to participating shops based on the required sample and monitoring requirements;
  4. Conduct any other monitoring visits for any new initiative as required;
  5. Ensuring that all data is synchronized with WFP’s M&E database before the set deadline;
  6. Ad hoc M&E data collection requirements might be collected by MAs if and when needed.

Data Analytics and Visualization Collects and summarizes programme data, including information on shipments, distribution site logistics, the status of personas in need, and beneficiaries planned and reached for all programme assistance modalities and activities.
Programme Monitoring and Review Gathers, organizes, and provides data on programme outputs, processes, and outcomes, including distribution plans and the status, quantity, and quality of food and cash distributed and technical assistance provided.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology or any other related field.

Experience and skills

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 4  years) in monitoring, data collection, social work or any related area;
  • Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
  • Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
  • Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
  • Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
  • Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others);

Language: Fluent in Arabic, Basic in English
