The Opportunity :

The SRC adopts an integrated programming approach where analysis, program planning, and implementation is coordinated across three response areas: North-West Syria, North-East Syria, and Southern-Central Syria, across all areas of political control. The Consortium Members recognize that a Program Management Unit (PMU) has been and will continue to be key to enabling the Consortium to achieve its objectives. The SRC needs a talented and highly motivated individual to support the consortium in becoming a leader in integrated resilience programming, and a thought leader in resilience-building approaches in complex crises.

The Consortium Director will also lead the SRC, including the PMU, who is mandated to manage the SRC members and liaise with the various grant holders and donors of the Consortium on behalf of the Steering Committee, in order to facilitate: Impactful, coherent and efficient programming; Enhanced Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) and Knowledge Management; Impactful Communication, Representation and Advocacy and Provide Leadership in Donor Engagement, Networking and Resource Mobilization.

What you will do:

  • Lead the Program Management Unit ;
  • Strategy development, resource mobilization, impactful programming and knowledge management;
  • Coordination, Representation and Advocacy;
  • Financial Management.

To succeed in this role You will possess:

  • A bachelors’ degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred;
  • 10 or more years of humanitarian experience with a minimum 5 years senior management experience in resilience programming or related field;
  • Proven record in building and maintaining relationship with a variety of stakeholders including host actors, donors, partners and local organizations;
  • Good experience in multi-sectoral resilience programing including- livelihood, economic empowerment, gender and inclusion;
  • The ability to be a thought leader with proven competencies and skills in the design, implementation, M&E and overall management of international donor-supported programs;
  • Show a demonstrated commitment to GAD in programing;
  • Experience managing programmatic and financial reporting requirement with attention to demanding reporting schedules  ;
  • Be fluent in oral and written English.
