Main responsibilities
• He/she provides advice based on contextual analyses to the Programme Director and HQ relevant staff to ensure adequate positioning of HI promoting principled humanitarian action (based on HI charter, ethical guidelines and principles of intervention)
• He/she leads the design, implementation and follow-up of the advocacy strategy at national and regional levels and contributes to advocacy at global level
• He/she liaises with relevant internal and external stakeholders and networks involved in policy and advocacy actions (AWG, HAWG, HCN, clusters etc)

Profile :

Master the basics of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) (= Master degree in Law or international relations).
– Experience : 5 years including 3 in emergency settings (field experience)
– Experience in context analyses, policy development in relation to principled humanitarian action
– Experience in advocacy campaigns
– Experience in networking and in active participation to conference/forum, including with high levels

• 12 months International contract starting from 15th, August 2023
• The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation:
o Unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals
o Pension scheme adapted to the situation of our employees: If you already have a personal pension scheme HI will contribute at the same level of your personal monthly contribution with a maximum of 272.53€/month ; If you do not have a personal pension scheme, we will open a private pension account with your contribution of 272.53€/month and a contribution of HI of the same amount
o Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution
o Repatriation insurance paid by HI

• Salary from 2757 € gross/month upon experience
• Perdiem: 596,4 € net/month – paid in the field
• Paid leaves: 25 days per year;
• R&R: 1 day per month
• Position:

– Support travel costs (air ticket & visa) for accompanying dependent and health/ repatriation insurance if the dependent has no income/

• Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects

• Housing: taken in charge by HI
