Overall purpose of the role:
The role will be primarily field based to provide support to HDP Managers for QA/QC of field operations and support on reporting field activities. The OTL will uphold all DRC SOP’s and CoC and report any issues that are witnessed. The role requires extensive experience and qualifications in all HMA activities including IMAS recognized EOD 3 qualification, experience in conducting and QA of Manual Mine Clearance (MMC) and Battle Area Clearance (BAC), Non-Technical Survey (NTS) and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Field based QA/QC of MMC/EOD/NTS/EORE teams and tasks.
- QA/QC of MMC/EOD/NTS/EORE reports and statistics as requested by HDP Managers.
- Support HDP Managers as required.
- Report all breaches of DRC SOPs and CoC.
- Capacity build teams through mentoring and feedback.
- Equipment checks for all team.
- Ensure safe/efficient deployment of teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
Experience and technical competencies:
- EOD 3 qualified with operating experience.
- Experience in MMC/BAC.
- Experience in NTS/EORE.
- Experience of working in challenging and insecure environments.
- Diplomatic, patient and persistent.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be in good physical condition and health.
- Must have good communication skills.
