Background
The Generation Equality Forum took place in Mexico and in Paris and launched a 5-year action journey to achieve irreversible progress towards gender equality, founded on a series of concrete, ambitious and transformative actions, including $40 Billion in financial commitments.
With the launch of the Nala Council on July 1st, 2021, at the Generation Equality Forum in Paris, Nala Feminist Collective is embarking into the advocacy phase to support the implementation of the Action Coalitions commitments at national levels, as well as amplify and bring closer the youth of the continent to the 5-year journey provided by the commitments of the Action Coalitions.
In this regard, NalaFem, with the support of New Venture Fund is looking for strategic youth-led organisations and collectives to host Intergenerational Dialogues in the six African countries in the Action Coalitions leadership, namely:
- Malawi – Feminist Movements and Leadership ;
- Burkina Faso – Bodily Autonomy and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights ;
- Rwanda – Technology and Innovation for Gender Equality ;
- Kenya – Gender-Based Violence ;
- South Africa – Economic Justice and Rights ;
- Tunisia – Technology and Innovation for Gender Equality.
