RECRUITMENT OF A CONSULTING FIRM FOR AN ENHANCED DUE DILIGENCE ON A PROSPECTIVE CLIENT BACKGROUND
- The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Enhanced Due Diligence (“EDD”) ;
- The aim of the EDD is to determine if there are any allegations of fraud, bribery, abuse or corruption surrounding all the beneficiary owners of a potential client the Bank is considering to finance. In terms of scope, the enhanced due diligence will be including without being limited to i. any sanctions, civil or criminal enforcement actions potentially taken against the aforementioned; ii. any involvement of Politically Exposed Persons (“PEPs”) which may negatively affect the Bank’s potential funding; iii. clarification of the background of any potentially on-going legal procedure. The selected Consulting Firm, based on its own independent sources and related facts, shall precise, review and assess any on-going court case, any allegation, any historical sanction, any concern regarding integrity issues and controversial event ;
- The Agriculture and Rural Finance Division of the African Development Bank invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.). A qualified firm will be recruited through Selection Based on Consultant Qualifications Method (CQS) ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Procurement Rules and Procedures for the Recruitment of Consultants. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist ;
- The estimated duration of services is up to two months and the estimated starting date is the 5th of March 2021 ;
- Interested firms may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours: 8 am to 5 pm GMT ;
- Expressions of interest must be received at the address below no later than the 26th of February 2021 at noon Abidjan time and specifically mentioning Enhanced
Due Diligence (“EDD”).
