Your tasks:

  • Coordination of a publicly financed project portfolio manly in the area of humanitarian aid in Latin America;
  • Management as well as content-related and administrative monitoring of projects of a project portfolio, incl. quality control and reporting;
  • Participation in the development of innovative programmes, approaches and strategies in coordination with the respective Plan country and regional offices, donor interests and departmental objectives;
  • Support in fund acquisition and donor communication;
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship and programmatic alignment with Plan country offices;
  • Providing regional and technical expertise to the department, to other teams and departments both within Plan Germany (e.g. marketing, communications) and at external partner and network meetings;
  • Close coordination and exchange within the regional teams as well as with the department’s technical teams.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university studies in a subject relevant for development cooperation and humanitarian assistance;
  • At least three to five years of practical professional experience in international cooperation in Germany and/or abroad (at least three years abroad);
  • Experience with public donor procedures in cooperation projects, particularly with GFFO, ECHO and UN-Organizations;
  • Thematic experience relevant to Plan is an advantage (e.g. sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth employment and entrepreneurship, political participation, gender);
  • Working experience in Latin America is an advantage;
  • Very good written and spoken English and Spanish skills, substantial German skills is an advantage;
  • Very good MS Office skills;
  • Team player, flexible and solution-oriented;
  • Ability to work in tropical regions and willingness to travel at home and abroad.
