Job Description

  • Contract management activities
    • Creates, updates and communicates inventory models for liquefaction plants and customers.
    • Creates, updates and communicates loading and feedgas schedules.
    • Supports the invoicing processes by following cost data.
    • Verifies commercial reports to ensure accurate and timely information is obtained and distributed to all parties.
    • Supports the recording of commercial activities and assists other internal groups.
    • Updates the US LNG market watch.
  • Trading & shipping operations
    • Supports the LNG Trading & Shipping Operations Team on shipping, scheduling and cargo operation activities in the US. This can involve daily contact with all parties involved while the LNG cargo operates within the United States Exclusive Economic Zone (terminals; LNG vessel owners/operators and Captains; third party vendors such as surveyors, agents; US authorities such as US Coast Guards; port authorities; as well as the term contract counterparties.)
  • ​​​​​​​Manages special projects and assignments given by the Head of LNG Commercial and Operations.

Context and environment

Natural Gas is a main axis of Group development. The markets on which natural gas can be sold are rapidly increasing in number (new countries, creation of wholesale markets, etc.) and marketing methods are changing rapidly. In this environment, the development of the LNG portfolio is the cornerstone of GRP strategy.

TGPNA’s portfolio of LNG contracts is ramping up and requires specific attention in terms of commercial and operational management of the contracts as well as of the LNG cargoes. The role of the LNG Commercial Operations Representative is key to the management and optimization of the LNG portfolio, by focusing on data support to help the Team members’ optimize and maximize the portfolio’s value.

The commercial and operational activities in LNG are in a highly competitive market characterized by constant and rapid change. This requires a management of the portfolio capable to adapt to any market change and counterparty. In an environment that is very international and multicultural (international companies, national companies, state entities, etc.) the LNG Commercial Operations Representative needs to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, flexibility and innovation, strong interpersonal relationship skills. He/she must follow Group ethics standards, competition law, and transparency / anticorruption rules.

Coordination is key: the LNG Commercial Operations Representative is expected to work closely with the other Team members of the LNG Commercial and Operations Team but also many other teams.

Candidate profile

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent experience;
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical proficiency with attention to detail and delivery of accurate work product;
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills;
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment, meeting communicated schedules and deadlines with little supervision;
  • Ability to understand the organization’s obligations;
  • Ability to work in a team environment; maintaining good working relationships with internal and external teams;
  • Demonstrate initiative and effective time management skills to develop knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities independently.
