Where you come in:

In this full time, permanent role based in Mount Isa, you’ll act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, provide administrative support for the teams, and will support the efficient and effective running of the office in a proactive and professional manner. You’ll work closely with Queensland’s Senior Administration team, and other Save The Children staff members.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing administrative, secretarial and general office support to the Mount Isa team;
  • Coordinating monthly resource and stationery and food orders including freight and postage coordination;
  • Organising contractors and quotes as required to meet office needs;
  • Providing friendly assistance to staff, community members and stakeholders, ensuring they are welcomed and supported;
  • Ensuring the reception area is clean and tidy at all times.

Does this sound like you?

You’re an adaptable all-rounder, ideally with a background in reception or admin support and you’re willing and able to learn new systems. Your organisational skills alongside your attention to detail will support the efficient and effective running of the office. You’re personable and friendly, and you’ll easily build strong positive relationships with stakeholders at the Centre and the community.

This role requires:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality;
  • Typing and computer literacy skills;
  • Ideally, experience in a reception or administrative role.

Having a certification in business or administration would be great, but if you don’t, we can assist you to access appropriate training.
