The objective of the Planning and Reporting Analyst role is to provide analysis and insights to senior management in regards to the group’s financial position including delivery of cash and liquidity reporting.

We are ramping up our flying schedule as border restrictions ease, refreshing our offering to our core customers, and continuing to deliver the uniquely Virgin customer experience Australians know and love.

 

Key Accountabilities of this role include:

  • Distribution of monthly VAH group results including analysis and commentary on segment finance performance versus targets.
  • Provision of specific reporting for segments as identified by Financial Planning and Analysis Management team.  Scope includes reporting of monthly route profitability for the airline
  • Driving improvements to monthly reporting processes and reporting hierarchies.
  • Collation and delivery of reports for Virgin Australia board meetings
  • Delivery of weekly cashflow and P&L reporting for VAH group including provision of commentary and insights through scenario modelling
  • Continuous improvement of weekly reporting including updating with latest group changes and providing outputs for business requirements
  • Participate in the co-ordination of the financials for the 3 Year Business Plan for the VAH Group

About you:

  • At least 5 years post qualification commercial experience
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and planning
  • Demonstrated change management and process improvement expertise in a finance division of a large company
  • Analytical capability
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience
  • IBM Cognos/ TM1 Experience
  • Experience in large, complex organisations
