What you’ll be doing:
  • Support Virgin Australia’s Digital team by applying UX Design principles and methodologies to identify and solve customer problems in the digital experience.
  • Quickly identifying we’re a digital brand, we don’t ‘sell’ anything and so our digital experience is all about landing the member at our partners’ POS ready to transact; you’ve been key to helping us bring teams together to deliver simplified experiences that connect seamlessly, deliver for our partners and leverage our currency to keep the member engaged in the program and loyal to the Virgin Australia brand.
  • Develop user journeys by using data and voice of customer to surface pain points and opportunities to improve the digital experience.
  • Develop, plan and lead UX design methodologies and processes for briefs, problems, opportunities or initiatives to arrive at successful customer and business outcomes.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Experience pushing a design agenda in a corporate environment
  • Understanding of the capabilities of HTML, CSS and modern front-end frameworks that relate to design (e.g. REACT)
  • More than 6 years’ experience in commercial design (e.g. ecommerce) on agency or client/corporate side
  • Experience developing service blueprints and service maps
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading design in a team or across multiple teams, preferably lean
  • Design thinking expertise and proficiency in user-centred design/creativity methodologies
