About Synergos

Synergos is a New York based global agency that builds trust and collaboration to solve complex problems. Its program in Bangladesh began in 2018 with an objective to find a scalable and sustainable solution to child drowning. Over a period of three years Synergos convened a broad network of allies for child drowning prevention, beyond injury prevention to collectively design a business case for integrated childcare, development, and protection services to elevate policy priority, action, and investment on the broader issue of childcare and protection. As a result, in February 2022 the government of Bangladesh pledged US$ 32 Million–with 80% of funding committed under the aegis of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs (MoWCA)– for a Development Project on Integrated Community-based Centre for Childcare, Protection and Swimsafe Facilities Project (ICBC) over three years ending in December 2024 with a vision to national scaling. At this implementation phase, Synergos provides strategic and technical assistance support to the Project Management Team led by Bangladesh Shishu Academy (BSA). Synergos will also provide ancillary support to ICBC Project on leadership capacity development for delivery of integrated childcare services.
