Total Renewables – a fully owned subsidiary of Total SA – is dedicated to the development, construction, operation and financing of utility scale, and Industrial and Commercial solar projects mainly in the OECD countries. It has recently expanded its activities to the offshore wind and battery storage industries.
Within this company, Total Solar Distribution Generation (TSDG) aims to develop, build, and operate distributed generation solar in several geographies (SEA, ME, EU), and has the ambition to develop an international leadership and profitable presence in the solar I&C market in the next 5 years.

We are looking for a Business Developer who will be responsible for growing Total Solar’s leadership in the Distributed Generation / B2B solar sector in Benelux.
You work in a team with 5 colleagues in the Benelux and 4 persons centralized in Paris, and will report to the TSDG Head of Benelux .

Your perimeter is mainly to assist the TSDG Benelux team coordinating tenders/projects and to act as business developer in new markets. 

As part of your missions, you are more precisely in charge of :

  • Analyzing the market to identify potential Commercial & Industrial prospects likely to enter in a Solar Lease Agreement or equivalent;
  • Assist in the development of commercial proposal/offer for self-consumption, on-site solar projects: rooftop, carport and ground mounted, adapted to the needs of the different clients;
  • Assisting in the preparation of Total’s offer to tenders :
    • understand scope of the tender
    • evaluate potential for TSDG
    • prepare a commercial proposal (preliminary designs and structuring pricing proposals);
  • Following up the project development with our partners;
  • Focusing on selling PPAs or Lease agreements for such projects;
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business;
  • Support for building and maintaining tools to industrialize our offer & process.

Contexte et Environnement

Profil recherché

  • Achieving a Master’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Good analytical skill and capability to do simple modeling using Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and good technical knowledge, coupled with a dynamic approach to sales
  • Creativity, autonomy, flexibility, ability to operate in a demanding and changing environment
  • Languages: French (professional level – Required), English (professional level – Required), Flemish (would be appreciated)
  • 6 Month Internship
